Mustangs part ways with Vaca
CHICAGO (Feb. 3, 2017) — The fifth-year Chicago midfielder Miguel Vaca is no longer under contract, effective immediately, with the Chicago Mustangs.
“We want to thank Vaca for his services to the club over the years and wish him the best in the future,” coach Armando Gamboa said.
After joining the Mustangs, in the inaugural season, he suited up for Chicago 80 times, including the playoffs. He scored 105 goals and contributed 71 assists. This year he was tied for third on the team in goals with seven and first in assists with nine. Vaca finished with 13 career points in the postseason with Chicago.
