Indoor Soccer, Chicago Style
The Chicago Mustangs are preparing to enter their fifth season in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). The MASL is comprised of 22 teams from across the United States and Mexico, the largest indoor soccer league in the world. With teams in four geographic divisions (Eastern, Central, Southern and Pacific) the league is the only true nation-wide indoor soccer league in North America. With tremendous growth over the past few years, it is only a matter of time before the league gains the media exposure needed to truly become a global brand. The Mustangs are proud to join fellow MASL teams (Baltimore Blast, Brownsville Barracudas, Dallas Sidekicks, Detroit Waza, Harrisburg Heat, Hidalgo La Fiera, Las Vegas Legends, Milwaukee Wave, Missouri Comets, Monterrey Flash, Ontario Fury, Oxford City FC Texas, Sacramento Surge, St. Louis Ambush, Saltillo Rancho Seco, San Diego Sockers, Syracuse Silver Knights, Tacoma Stars, Tulsa Revolution, Turlock Express, Wichita B-52’s) to play for the chance to win the Ron Newman Cup. The 2016-17 season will start in November. Teams are set to play twenty games (ten home, and ten on the road) in the 2016-17 season, as well as have the opportunity to represent themselves in the U.S. Open tournament against MASL professional and amateur teams from around the United States.
