Chicago drops to .500

(Jan. 29, 2017) – Syracuse overwhelmed the Mustangs with a flurry of goals in a 11-2 win at Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
The Mustangs (7-7) ended keeper Bryan O’Quinn’s shutout bid in his first start, on a goal by forward Juan De La Cruz with six minutes left. Forward Taylor Bond had the assist.
Then, defender Ephraim Beard scored his fifth goal of the season to round out the Mustang tally.
The Silver Knights (6-7) jumped out to a 10-0 lead. They were led in scoring by forward Slavisa Ubiparipovic with two goals and an assist. Midfielder Anotonio Manfut had a goal and two assists.
Rookie keeper Jose Resendiz made his first career start for the Mustangs after keeper Jesus Flores left yesterday’s 7-6 win in the fourth quarter.
